This monument in Greenwich Village commemorates the centennial of George Washington’s inauguration of 1789. The Beaux Arts arch by McKim, Mead & White features marble crests and insignia as well as matching portraits of Washington as general and as statesman.
DIY 1:500 scale miniature paper model, about 2 inches tall finished. Designed by Matt Bergstrom. Published by Wurlington Bros. Press. Unfinished postcard measures 6.75 x 4.7 inches and can be mailed with standard letter postage.
