A print reproduction of Out of Sight, 1998, designed by Dawn Baillie.
For Dawn Baillie's retro-inspired poster design for Out of Sight, she reverted to old-school techniques she had used in the '80s: taking unit photography of both actors and xeroxing them for added visual noise and higher contrast. Those xeroxes were then scanned into Photoshop and saturated with primary colors.
As this movie came out early in Jennifer Lopez’s acting career, her contract did not have the same requirements as George Clooney's for visual prominence in promotional materials. This allowed for an interesting composition, with Clooney depicted as a looming villain behind the silhouette of the gun-toting Lopez.
