Modiano Print

Availability: In stock

A print of Modiano, 1929, by Róbert Berény.

After studying in Paris, Berény became one of the first artists to introduce Cubism, Expressionism, and Fauvism to the Hungarian avant-garde. These influences combine to create a decidedly Art Deco composition, featuring an economical use of sharp lines and bold color. His client, Modiano, was a Trieste-based rolling-paper company. The brand was so popular in Hungary that it ultimately built a factory in Budapest.

Measures 15.25 x 11 inches. Ships rolled.
