Put down your smartphone and pick up a pencil! This fresh interpretation of classic paper-and-pencil games features five tear-off pads with colorful edging and sleek modern graphics, minimalist enough to be used as a chic desk pad.
The set includes five two-player games, some familiar and some new: three-dimensional Tic-Tac-Toe, Dots & Boxes, Hedron, Nim, and Hex. Each pad has 150 sheets for a total of 750 single games. The instructions are printed on the base of each pad.
Fredericks & Mae is the art/design team of Giovi Signorile and Gabriel Cohen, who founded their studio in 2007 with a shared love for materials, amid piles of feathers, thread, bamboo, ink, paint, and paper. Their collaborative practice produces lovingly crafted games and toys, objects that can be viewed as tools and rituals within "a material anthropology of objects with confused origins."
