The perfect souvenir for anyone screaming about this news, this magnet features the 1925 poster L'Intransigeant.

The director of the daily newspaper L'Intransigeant, Léon Bailby, commissioned A.M. Cassandre to create an advertisement with the theme of "information." In Cassandre's design, a shouting newsboy announces the daily headlines. His ear is connected to telegraph wires, complete with ceramic insulators, implying that the news as delivered to the journal with such rapidity that it could compete with radio. Born in Ukraine, Cassandre moved to Paris to study painting. From 1923 to 1928, he worked for the Hachard printing office, introducing his interpretation of Modernism to the world through advertising.

Magnet measures 2 x 3 inches.
