A portion of the proceeds is donated to Design Advocates, a cooperative network of independent architecture and design practices who collaborate on projects that serve the greater good.

The permanence of the paint reflects the vibrancy we bring to this city. The transient nature of the pencil marks is a reminder that we can design, build, and change New York City to better the lived experiences of all its inhabitants."
