Explore the heartbeat of New York through the eyes of leading designers. The third An Ode to NYC poster series is curated by NYCxDESIGN and exhibited throughout the city. A portion of the proceeds is donated to Design Advocates, a cooperative network of independent architecture and design practices who collaborate on projects that serve the greater good.
Always New York by Charles Hearn. From the designer: "Our city is built on reinvention, as such it shines as a beacon for any one looking for a fresh start. The world will always send people packing, and NYC will always leave a light on to help them find their way. This reimagining of the Statue of Liberty is in the image of Ukrainian immigrant Vera, who fled violence in 2014 and is in the process of gaining citizenship. Since living NYC she has spawned a career in photography, is raising twin boys, and learning to surf. While design offers us so many practical solutions in every day life, it also helps tell the many rich stories that resonate with all New Yorkers."
Printed on an HP 6-Color Latex Ink machine on HP Semi-Matte 9-Mil Premium Poster Paper. Measures 24 x 18 inches, individually cut by hand. Ships rolled.
