Get ready for a high-kick with these socks inspired by Jane Avril, 1893, by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec.
Toulouse-Lautrec created a number of posters to promote performers like Jane Avril and venues like the Moulin Rouge in fin-de-siècle Paris. Avril was a longtime friend of Lautrec and commissioned him to create this poster to advertise her cabaret performance at the Jardin de Paris. The composition is distinctively skewed with undulating art nouveau lines. The "cancan" kick of Avril is echoed by the suggestively gripped double-bass in the foreground.
