Throughout the 1970s and ’80s, Peter Kennard created numerous posters for nuclear disarmament.
Union Mask, 2003, is an homage to his earlier work in 1983 for the "peace year" initiative of the Greater London Council that featured the flag of the Soviet Union rather than the Union Jack.
