This 3D-printed model was developed by Denise Mylonakis to miniaturize an essential piece of New York City design history. Now you can hold the original 1870 Central Park bench in the palm of your hand. The original benches were produced through 1930, made of wrought iron and wood slats that were painted a familiar shade of green. The wrought iron was eventually switched out for cast iron which could be mass produced. New York City resumed producing this bench for Central Park in 1994 with Kenneth Lynch & Sons.
Model designed and produced by Denise Mylonakis. Hand assembled pieces of 3D-printed wooden filament. Measures 5 x 4 x 3 inches.
